Britain’s Got Talent – autistic boy dances
James Hobley was diagnosed with autism as a child. Growing up, he wore orthopedic boots and splints on the back of his legs to help him walk, due to his inclination to walk on his tiptoes. One day, his mother got a flyer in the mail about a dance activity for kids, and she decided to take James. He immediately fell in love with the freedom he felt while dancing.
After a couple months of dancing, James felt his tendons start to loosen up, and stopped wearing his special footwear. About three years after that, he auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent — and floored the audience!
Watch this stunning 11-year-old perform in front of the judges on Britain’s Got Talent. It’s amazing!

How 6-pack packages can be dangerous to animals
Plastic six-pack harnesses, used to hold cans of soda and beer, are a great hazard to birds, fish and other wildlife. The harnesses are especially dangerous in water where they are practically invisible. Birds fishing or feeding in the water can easily entangle their bills and necks in the strong plastic rings. This usually leads to strangulation or starvation. Pick up any plastic six-pack holder you find and cut or pull apart the rings and recycle it. If possible, avoid buying products wrapped in these holders; most beverages are available with other packaging.

Recipe: apple pastry roses
Ingredients
3 medium apples
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Flour, for sprinkling
1 roll puff pastry dough
5 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions
• 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Grease or spray 9 regular-size muffin cups.
• 2 Wash and core apples. Thinly slice each one, leaving the peel on.
• 3 In 2-quart saucepan, heat 4 cups water, 4 tablespoons sugar and the lemon juice to boiling. Add the apple slices; boil about 3 minutes or until apples are soft. You want to be easily able to bend them without breaking.
• 4 Drain apples, and place on paper towels to dry and cool completely.
• 5 Sprinkle flour on work surface, and roll out dough sheet. Sprinkle 5 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon on surface of dough. Using pastry cutter (or pizza cutter), cut dough into 9 (1-inch) strips.
• 6 Arrange cooled apple slices end to end down each strip. Carefully roll up each strip, and place in muffin cup.
• 7 Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until nicely golden. Remove from pan, and cool on cooling rack. Serve and enjoy!
