Best “mac and cheese” ever!

“Mac and cheese” (or “macaroni and cheese”) is a very popular, easy recipe in the USA. Here is how to do it :

Ingredients :

– 2 cups pasta

– 2 cups milk

– 2 cups cheese

– salt and pepper

Directions :

1. Combine 2 cups of pasta with 2 cups milk.

2. Simmer until noodles are cooked to your preference STIRRING OFTEN!

3. Do not drain the pasta! Add in 2 cups of cheddar cheese (and salt and pepper) to the pasta and milk mixture, and stir until it’s all melted.
See how easy that was???? And it’s sooo tasty and creamy! You could, of course, use different kinds of cheese and pastas, but the recipe is very simple. It’s really creamy because you cook the pasta in the milk.

In my personal recipe, I use a different type of icing : 200 g of icing sugar, 1 egg-white and one teaspoon of lemon juice (plus food coloring for fun!), mixed well with an electric mixer.

For the cupckaes, my recipe is similar : 2 large eggs, 120 g of butter (soft), 5 cl of milk (4 large spoonfuls), 140 g of flour, 100 g of sugar, 1/2 packet of baking powder, 1 pinch of salt. You can add vanilla extract if you like it!

5-minute Microwave Chocolate Cake in a Cup

Chocolate Cake in a Cup:
4 Tablespoons of flour
4 Tablespoons of sugar
2 Tablespoons of cocoa
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 egg
3 Tablespoons of milk
3 Tablespoons of oil
1 Tablespoon of chocolate chips (or more)
1/2 tablespoon of vanilla essence
Mix it all together and cook for about 3 minutes depending on the power of your microwave (we do it for 2:45)

Apple Pie Recipe

Ingredients for the apple filling :
– 3 different sorts of apples (2 apples of each)
– white sugar
– freshly squeezed lemon juice
– spices : nutmeg and cinnamon
– small pinch of salt

For the crust :
– 2 ready-made pie-crusts
– one beaten egg to brush the crust with
– a few pinches of sugar to dust the crust with

PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

Do you like peanut butter ?
If you do, this recipe is for you !

Ingredients

2 cups peanut butter
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to th. 6 (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets (or line baking trays with grease-proof paper).

In a medium bowl, stir peanut butter and sugar together until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the baking powder, salt, and vanilla. Roll dough into 1 inch (= 2.5 cm) balls and place them 2 inches apart (= 5 cm apart) onto the prepared cookie sheets. Press a criss-cross into the top using the back of a fork.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool.

MMG’S FAMOUS CHOCOLATE CHIPS COOKIES

These cookies are really delicious…

< Ingredients :

180 g flour
½ teacup baking powder
1 pinch of salt
100 g brown sugar
60 g butter
1 teacup vanilla extract
1 egg
100 g chocolate chips

Directions :

Preheat the oven (th. 5).
In a big bowl, put the flour, baking powder, brown sugar, and salt.
Melt the butter in the micro-wave oven, add to the mixture. Stir well.
Add the egg. If the mixture is too dry, add a few drops of water.
Add the chocolate chips, stir well.
Place spoonfuls of dough on two baking sheets (covered in baking paper).
Put in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, be careful not to overcook.

YOUR TEACHER’S PERSONAL BROWNIES RECIPE !

Many students said they loved my brownies at the “Curieux Défis” last Saturday so here is the recipe :

Ingredients :
250g of butter
200g of dark chocolate
300g of sugar (white or brown)
4 eggs
175g of flour
you can add nuts if you like them

Directions :
Preheat the oven th. 5 (electric oven : 150 °).
In a saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate together (diced).
Remove from the heat. Add the sugar and the eggs, one by one. Stir well.
Add the flour slowly. Stir well.
Pour in a large rectangular dish (grease the dish and sprinkle with flour first!).
Put in the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes.

Leave to cool, refrigerate.
Cut in small squares (about 12 squares for this recipe).
